Care for seriously ill patients in the SIC unit

SIC or the Subsequent Intensive Care unit is a team of seven doctors and 58 health care professionals that care for patients suffering long term failure of vital functions. This unit accommodates people who need the assistance of a breathing apparatus, medication to support cardiac functions, or have severe consciousness disorders after a head injury or brain hemorrhage. Typically, 25 to 30 patients are admitted annually.

All beds are equipped with modern monitors, breathing apparatuses, drug dispensers, and infusion pumps. The unit is divided into several cubicles and adjacent rooms with CCTV. All values monitored in patients are displayed on a central monitor.
