The proper preparation will help you with the smooth, lovely coming home from the Hospital.
-You will learn how to walk with crutches, so remove all that may be in the way (the rugs, cables…)
it is definitely handy to get some experience with the crutches before surgery
-Prepare all stuff for everyday use to accessible height ( dishes, medicine, clothes…)
-Dumbwaiter cart for transporting meal
– Specialized equipment in the bathroom, some of them should be covered by health insurance company
(handrails, raised toilet seat, adding texture to slippery floors…)
-Easy accessible cordless phone, cell phone charger
– Prepare food and freeze them. It will get definitely beneficial after the first days after surgery.
– The Night Lamps around the way to the bathroom.
– And ask the friends and family members for help
